At the moment I picked up "Search Engine Optimization: An Hour a Day", I was hooked. I currently own more than a handful of online retail sites and love SEO. I was thinking about becoming SEO certified but it seems like there are a zillion places that offer online certification. Are any truly recognized as an industry standard certification in SEO? If so, which one. If not, is any certification in SEO worth it or are there specific seminars that you would recommend I attend?

Answer:
I've been in the SEO business for the last 10 years, successfully I might add. :)

Certification means absolutely zip to a client prospect - while a list of happy customers and references means a lot.

After all these years, there is only one resource for learning SEO that I could recommend. The SEO Tutor ebook.

Answer:
I 've never heard of SEO Tutor, and most professional haven't either. I would check out:

Answer:
Banana is right. It is not what the paper says, it is what you can demonstrate.
