Hello Guys:
I don't fully understand backlinks. Below is a somewhat backlink that I made up, but the only thing I don't know if it's right to give to someone to use on there site. Also I need to know once you create a back link do you keep it inside your html page like a permanent link.
Anybody who have knowledge or experience in this area, if you can please give me a correct example like the somewhat one already illistrated below. See, I just don't want to give somebody the wrong or misleading information to place on their site and moreover never being able to link back to me.

The one way link helps the person to get higher ranking. Get as many as you can! you don't want to exchange links as they are not going to help either you or the other person.
