I'm 17 and I live in the United States of America.
As the economy is beginning to flail and morals are disintegrating at such an alarming pace, I think it would be smart of me to take into account some not so American options for after college.
I plan on minoring in Spanish and getting a degree in some business/marketing orientated field. I would like to live in a somewhat fast-paced society, and would rather a place not to be affected by the USA's potential economical stalemate.
So where should I go, guys?!!
I wanna travel- at least.
So.. should I think about another career…!
YEA!! lol. Answer that too.
What job would allow me to travel a lot?
Answer:
Firstly, I would recommend that you give the US another thought. We have it pretty lucky here. Cheap goods, high quality food, great vairety in all respects of life, just a pretty darn good country. However, if you are determined to get the hell out, (and I wouldn't blame you) I think you would like these places.
Norway is a fantastic place to live. One of the highest standards of living in the world, beautiful and friendly people, a business center, environmental example to the world, and a highly intelligent nation.
Spain, naturally. Home to some of the world's ideal food, music, and art, as well as the Spanish language. It's not a business powerhouse, but there's definitely business to be had. A great laid-back lifestyle focused on innovation and living to one's potential will never leave you bored.
France is proximal to Spain, has some of the most prestigious universities in the world, and is another artistic powerhouse. While Paris is very pricey, the outskirts are definitely livable. There is a bit of political unrest between the culture trying to preserve itself and the counter-culture trying to establish itself, but you're American; you're used to it. French people have a reputation for not liking Americans, but this is not really true. While they get mad at out politics, they really love Americans, mostly because of our music and our pop culture. Also a world business center.
Germany is one the business powerhouses of the world, and is home to a highly intelligent population and even more prestigious universities. The people seem standoffish at times, but are really very hospitable. They also can seem argumentative, but this is merely because they do not hold their thoughts as personally as we do, and will also anticipate you to argue for your own opinions.
Those are my recommendations. I hope they help you.
Ideal of luck!

Answer:
The US economy is what controls the global economy. If we are doing bad, the whole world is too. On a day that the US markets close down huge, the rest of the markets do bad as well. On a day that the US markets close high, the rest of the markets close high.
We live in a globalized economy, picture all the countries on a pyramid. The worst off countries are on the bottom (countries like Zimbabwe, Venezuela, North Korea, Haiti, Iran, etc. etc., the worst economies in the world). Each level that you go up on the pyramid, there’s a list of countries with better economies than on the previous level.
To make a long story short. The U.S. is at the top of the pyramid. There is no country that comes close and it will stay that way for a long time.
