Ok sounds weird, but I have the opportunity to go to Culinary arts School- for free!! Awesome!! I love cooking but i do not want to be a chef in a restaurant. I used to work in one and the Chef was a glorified line cook and his job was nothing like how you see chefs on TV working. I would love to have my own cooking show or something along those lines. WHAT are some other career options besides Restaurant Chef, Sous Chef etc… I am wondering if I should take this opportunity or pass it by. Thanks

Answer:
food stylist :)

Answer:
There is also the lost art of Baking. There is still a need for gourmet pastry bakers and artisan bread bakers in many parts of the United States. Just because you learn culinary arts, it does not mean that you always have to work in a kitchen.

Cruise liners hire many bakers to make all those delicious treats that the tourists love to indulge.

If large commercial kitchens bother you, then try a smaller bistro. Same technique, less stressful and more direct contact with your clients.

Answer:
Catering — there are some really high end catering companies that not only need chefs, but those with enough experience to organize a catered event.

Answer:
perhaps a wedding caterer, or something like that, if you still want to work in the culinary arts.

But you are offered a spot in culinary-arts school for FREE!!!!

I would take that.
