Could it be cause over the past 2yrs I only worked 2 jobs for 1month? They both would give good references but the other 2,no good> due2marital prob&going thru a divorce. My job performance lacked over the 4yr period w/each company. I was a good worker until my problems began. The last2jobs I had,I couldnt keep cause I was dumb enough to take my boyfriend's side in his job hunts. So we had to travel,so its like wtf!!! We lived in the country and its soo hard to find work.
Is it ok to be honest in the interview? Because thats what I have been doing and it seems like no one would give me a chance. I have good references. Its a struggle for me and I'm getting frustrated. Wouldnt it be better to take someones honesty then to just leave it alone? I am no longer in a relationship and I'm living in the city. Been to many interviews already and I have 2 tomorrow. Any suggestions? TY to all who reply!!!
Answer:
honesty will be the best way to explain your past employment issues. most people know of someone who has been through the same thing and they know how it effects them. being honest always is the best option available and the results are worth the effort.
a lot of places are very selective right now. as unemployment continues to rise quality workers continue to become available so employers are just being more selective. many employers are putting off hiring a little longer to see how the economy is going to work out. they are interviewing but waiting longer to actually hire.
most service sector employers(retailers, food service, lodging) will be hiring if not now within the next couple of weeks as they prepare for spring.
there are always options in the medical field, in most states nursing homes providing training and testing for Certified Nurses Aides to prospective employees(they are actually reimbursed by medicare for the expenses). it is hard work, very demanding but it can be a way to get started working and get a start in a career field with tons of opportunities for growth and advancement.

I don't know, I'm also having trouble. Divorce is a hard thing to go through and it's a little hard to focus alllll your attention to work at that time, but job places are getting weird now. So strict, it's really narrowing down who gets the job.

Have you visited your local Jobcentre Plus? They have various resources that may be helpful, you did,nt say what your qualifications are but with the coming summer months there are usually lots of vacancies for less white collar openings if you are really desperate
Answer:
Maybe employment is not for you. Why don't you put up a small business, what are your talents? Maybe you can walk a dog or be a nanny for the meantime. If you have enough money to put up your own business, maybe you are good at it. Don't you know how to sell, ride a system, go from house to house and sell something consumable or prime commodity.
Forget that freedom thing it's a scam.
