returning to one of your previous jobs, has anyone had this experience?
what's it like?
Answer:
I did it and it was kind of odd at first. People that were hired in the time that you were gone don't know what to make of you because the bosses interact differently because they know you already.
I work for a small company and thought the grass would be greener in a larger company. Got a job offer from a big credit card issuer and went to work for them and discovered quickly that I am not the corporate ladder stab-someone-in-the-back to get ahead kind of person. I went from there to a federal position and I knew within 2 weeks I was a square peg in a round hole. My old boss and I kept in touch (we babysat each others dogs when out of town) and I expressed my unhappiness with my job. He offered me my job back - no weekends and an extra weeks vacation. I couldn't say "Heck, Yeah!" fast enough.
Good Luck
Answer:
think about how it was when you left the job. well the only difference will be maybe some new people other than that nothing.bosses don't' change. they are still going to act like they were before and the job will still be the same.
Answer:
My best friend did this. She was unhappy with her company because of the lack of organization. Once she left, she found out that most companies in our area are this way. Although she got made fun of for returning, she is happy. She said her expectations are more realistic now.
Answer:
I've done it, and it's fine. A little weird coming back, a few comments to answer, but then it's done.
Answer:
Just as you left it, same attitudes, same problems you left unless the "problem creators" have left, and probably a few new faces. I would caution you that if you are thinking of going back, you should think carefully about what prompted you to leave in the first place before you decide to return.
Answer:
it is a little akward but you;ll get use to it again
