im a high school senior and I'm applying for an internship, the recquirements are a resume as well as a cover letter. I've never written a cover letter before so any tips would be helpful, thank you!

Explain to the employer why you want to work at that particular company, and what qualifies you for the position (even if you don't have experience maybe say things like you are a hard worker, responsible, whatever), what you are hoping to learn from the position, etc.

Monster.com and careerbuilder.com have great info about applying for both jobs and internship's. Also check with your career office at the local community college they can be a great resource.
