hey guys. i have had nothing but crappy jobs and finally graduated college and am looking for a good job. i am having a hard time interviewing.

my job history is pretty crappy, i'll admit. i did the walt disney world college program, which was only 8 months, then i was a supervisor for a year, then went back to school, then worked at a crappy job where i was being harassed by co workers daily (it was a race thing; i was like, the only white person and everyone was black, which that's not usually an issue, but i could look at the clock on the wall to see what time it was and they would be like 'you looking at me'? and then pretend they were going to beat me up - i couldn't take it any more). not to mention the fbi was doing investigations at the place for credit card fraud.

i'm having a hard time answering questions about why, at my age, i don't have good background. family owned furniture store until father died about 4 years ago. i worked there on and off. i'm frustrated. recommendations?

Answer:
Well, what qualification have you got? What do you want to do?

Business executive ?

I am a factory worker. I like working in factories, and I have forced myself to work, in a way too. I’ve got Galactosemia, and I have learning disabilities.

A real pain for me, but I am keeping busy.

I usually take a few pages of questions and answers to help me answer their Q's too…

Just remember it is not the end of the world. You will get another interview, and get more experience.

I’ve held down 3 jobs now, and my resume is looking good.

Especially, since I’ve got a forklift license too.

And, forkie driving is so fun for me. I am happy :)

dee, even though i have to admit you're right; i sometimes feel as if my college degree did me no good. i have some pretty good transferable skills but can't seem to make enough at a single job to eat AND pay rent. Report It

Answer:

Answer:
First of all you need to build up a work ethic the second thing is to figure out your calling and what’s it going to take to reach that goal. There are tons of college grads going nowhere with nothing degrees. Your ideal bet is to learn a job skill be it anything from bartending to welding to brain surgery. College has replaced the church in a form of salvation and redemption. Good Luck!
