or do they stand for hours supervising the employees?

Answer:
I do not know specifically about IHOP, but as a restaurant manager I can tell you that restaurants have one office in the back for doing deposits and writing schedules, stuff like that. I'd state out of a 9 hour shift I'll be in the office no more than 2 hours, the rest running the shift.

Answer:
That's a bizarre question in that you’re asking specifically about IHOP but perhaps you’re considering a job there, or just curious. I have never worked there, but being in restaurant management I have the ability to tell you that they have an office. It would be impossible that they don't because there must a location where they post invoicing, have a Personal computer, and keep a safe for money. Most managers are going to be spending the bulk of their time in the dining room especially during peak hours.

Answer:
I used to work there,

when we were super busy they supervsed and helped out.

But when we were slow they did have a small crappy office in the back that they’d a personal in

and did all their other work.
