i have finished my 2 puc

i want to do software engineering

but nearly all the colleges have a course called computer science and engineering

and nothing called software engineering

are those two the same

i live in mangalore in karnataka

Computer science and engineering is what you should go for. As you enter your major, it will lead into 2 main direction: Software engineering (aka Computer Science) & Personal Engineering.

Software engineering: you will learn more focus about programming languages (software)

Computer Engineering: you’ll learn about hardware design.

In computer science & engineering, think about both software & hardware. other hand in software engineering, more emphasis on software & a tiny bit hardware. But i have seen the course & subjects for both site & i found a tiny difference between them. [I have just done my 'computer science & engineering' .]
