Only question I really have is does your last employer pay your unemployment, or do you pay into your unemployment (like is a little deducted from every check)?

My friend's last employer was his Uncle, and if his Uncle has to pay for it he doesn't want to do it.

Thanks in advance!

Answer:
Unemployment insurance is paid by your employers to a Say Insurance fund. If his uncle was the business owner then in a sense it does come out of his pocket. Also,to collect unemplyment you’ve to be fired or laid off work. You can’t just quit. An employer has to pay unemployment tax regaurdless if your friend collects it or if someone else does.If a lot of employees collect unemployment then the tax (insurance) goes up.Sometimes they illegally classify workers as independent contractors, and don't pay unemployment, workers comp, or the employer half of social security.Thats why a lot of employers like to hire illegal immigrants.

Answer:
It doesn't make any sense. Perhaps you're talking about separation pay and that's a different story altogether. Otherwise, if every last employer would pay a former employee who is currently unemployed, business would go bankrupt! So, the answer is NO, the last employer does not pay for one's unemployment.

Answer:
no no no no… A certain amount is deducted from everybody's pay check and is taken into a big pool by the government.. Remember not everybody gets unemployed so when I lose my money I am really paying your friend!

Tell him not to worry about it Just apply and it won't cost your uncle a cent!

Answer:
employers are totally responsible for unemployment insurance no one pays out of their check it would be illegal to do so.

Answer:

Answer:
it comes off each check.

the only time the employer pays is when you go on compensation

Answer:
