I'm scared that I'd get put with some of those waitresses who have been doing that sort of work for 20 years and they would get mad or be snappy training me. Also I don't think I could carry 5 hot plates like they do, and I'm worried I'd get the tables/customers mixed up or forget where things go & stuff. Any suggestions? I don't have any degrees to get a good job, and waitressing would be good for tips. Thanks.

Answer:
personally, I would never do it. some ppl are great at it, but I wasn't. you could give it a try and see what happens.

Answer:
im 16, and got my first job as a waitress about a month ago.

i was a tiny nervous, but it's really not hard.

it is fast paced, so you have to go swift, but you put plates on these massive trays so they’re simple to carry, it's really simple.

you just take the order, type it into a personal system, get drinks/appetizers, bring out entree and wha-la, you’ve finished one table.

and if you forget where the food goes (like to which person) just read off the entree and they will raise their hand or signal that it is their food…no biggie.

its a fun job, the time flies by, and you get tips!!!

don't worry about it! you'll do great :)
