Ok Im 22 yrs old. I graduated high school, and I only have like 4 more classes before i get an associates degree (but 18k in student debt!)
I have had the same job for 2 yrs. I am an office manager, that sits in the same chair day in day out EVERYDAY. and my boss is in the other room. Very Pessimistic and suddenly complains that i leave 10 minutes early (which ihave for 2yrs!)
What im saying is Im a good employee i Dont complain and my boss is a dick. Guess Im burnt out.
I have my own company on the side selling cell phones at the flea market on the weekends. I really think It could be profitable. I have good credit and I pay my bills on time but i really feel as tho i need to move on and quit this job and focus on my business full time. Im terrriefied of taking a risk of not having a steady paycheck, but at the same time Im ready to be my own boss. Am i being dumb? What do you think of all this>?
Answer:
It is great that you’ve a goal in life and want to be productive and profitable, I applaud you for that, not too many people have the motivation you seem to have.
On the other hand, can you afford to quit your job? Will your bills be over what you will make at the flea market? With your credit rating being good right now, you don’t want to lower the rating. I.E.. you are not making enough money to cover bills and living expenses, so your credit goes down because you may either miss payments or are late? You defiantly would not want that. In addition if you have to buy any new massive purchases, a automobile, a home, etc they will have to have a job reference and the longer you have had a steady income the superior.
My opinion I would not quit just yet. Not until you were sure that you would be financially sound.
I wish you all the ideal luck in all of you future endeavors.

Burn't out at 22?! You can't wait 10 minutes more everyday to comply with work rules?! You don’t have what it takes to be self employed!! If you think your boss is a dick because he doesn't want to pay you for almost an hour a week for nothing then wait until your self employed and everyone is your boss! The biggest mistake people make is thinking people who are self employeed don't answer to anyone! Let me fill you in on something. All your clients and customers have to be answered to and as far as working your own hours you can forget that too. I would keep the job or find another and work the flea market on the side until you pay off your education debt. After more life and business experience then decide to make changes.

I would say to at least finish getting your degree, so if you need something to fall back on you’ll have it. Starting any business is risky, but business is one of those things that you have to take some risks in order to get ahead. I would suggest that, to begin out, maybe you could work on your business 3 to 4 days a week, but have a “regular” job the other days, or maybe get a job working from home so you can do both. Not having a regular paycheck could end up hurting you if your business takes a while to really get going, and you could end up really hurting your credit if you’re no longer able to pay your bills on time. On the plus side, you can get a deferment of up to 4 years on your student loans so you won't have to stress too much about those while you’re trying to make your business work. Good luck!

Just hang in there until times get superior…With so many people out of work I wouldnt quit a good paying job right now…Continue doing the cell phone thing, maybe go around to some of the mom and pop stores in your area and see if they would be interested in selling for you on a commission basis…Go ahead and start looking for another job, but dont quit until you find one…Times are tough and they’re only going to get tougher with all the layoffs, high gas prices, high food prices and everything is going up!
