3rd and final interview?

Author: admin

So i got a call from bestbuy, and they gave me a phone interview, which i passed i guess, and they asked me to come in for a live interview, which i did, and than they said they would like me to meet with the manager for a 3rd and final interview. My question is, is this process usually normal? and will this final interview be just like the 2nd one, which was full of behavioral questions and past examples. The 2nd interview was nearly 1 hour long. What should i anticipate from the 3rd?

Answer:
If I had to guess, the 3rd interview will be far less intimidating than the second—that doesn't mean wear jeans and a t-shirt obviously. But they usually tend to get all the behavioral psych and credit checks, etc. out of the way all at once. It might even be just meeting the boss and going over a final list of rules and ironing out schedules. By a 3rd interview there's really very little else to do, unless you haven't had your drug screen yet. Congratulations, btw!

Answer:
Thanks for BA.

99.9% of the time drug screen is urine test

some places do hair follicle, but they tend to be more for corporate types

I can't see Best Buy shoveling out that kind of dough Report Abuse

Answer:
This has become the norm. I do a phone interview just to make sure that the person can speak clearly and with some intelligence. Out of 20 phone interviews I might have 2-3 come in.

Then I do a detailed interview, if I liked the way it goes I call them back to talk with me and another manager. The 3rd interview is usually to see if the person I have sitting in with us can pick up on something that I missed.

The job is most likely yours.
