The first interview was about 30-40 mins and the women who interviewed me said i was perfect, that she was going to tell her boss (who i just interviewed with) to hire me and in closing said she really hopes we would be working together. I met with the owner of the firm and one other, but it was so short?! i cant gauge.. is this a bad sign? Also, should i follow up? The email i used to apply is general (job@blank.com) but i found her address on the internet. is it too much to follow up w/a thank you to her email addy since she didnt actually give it to me? HELP! thanks…
Answer:
Definitely follow up with an email of appreciation for her time and consideration. You can also state briefly that you believe you are confident in your qualifications, feel that there is a good fit with the team, and are very excited about the opportunity to work for (company name). Tell her that you look forward to hearing from them.
Keep it short, concise and professional. Even if she didn't give you an email, it shows that you are resourceful.
Yes - Definitely send it! Even if they had someone earmarked for the position (family friend or whatever), make sure you conduct yourself professionally and follow through with it so if there's something else that opens up…Also, there may have been a legitamate reason why there wasn't a longer interview. Maybe it's the first lady's decision and the owner doesn't want to cloud her decision making…maybe she had alot to do and just wanted to gage your appearance…could be anything.
Good luck!

It all depends on how well it went and if the interviewer felt he had enough information to make his decision. Book Mark it-> del.icio.us | Reddit | Slashdot | Digg | Facebook | Technorati | Google | StumbleUpon | Window Live | Tailrank | Furl | Netscape | Yahoo | BlinkList
