Just yesterday I saw a postiion posted on hotjobs.com - that was originally posted in December. Normally I keep up with the job boards as I am actively looking for a job, but must have forgotten about hotjobs.com. Should I still apply if it's up there? (I.e. do you think it's still available after a month?) Should I call the company to see if they are still hiring for the position before applying? What's the best way to handle this?

Answer:
Why not…what's the worse that could happen…they email you back and said that the postion is filled, but edleast you made an attempt or better yet it has not been filled. Good Luck!!!

Answer:
It's probably filled by now. But, send your resume in anyway. They may be looking for additional help or can see if you match for another job. It never hurts to try.

Answer:
It never hurts to try all they can say is no.

Answer:
just send off the resume, and then follow up with a call.

It's a click of the send button!

Good luck~

Answer:
You will not lose anything by forwarding your resume to them !!

The fact that the advertisement is still exhibited implies that the vacancy is yet to be filled up !!!!!

Answer:
Make sure your resume is up to snuff. I used GigTide.com in the past. It has a cool resume tracking feature and dashboard.
