Job or house first?

Author: admin

hi i am 25 and never moved out of home due to low self esteem and the fear of the unknown due to many things in my childhood, but now i feel i have matured after going through a lot this past 2 years and my misery factor has exceeded the fear factor. i feel i can move out as scared as i am but i know i can do it. yes, money is a worry but i have a little saved, i want to move to a city thats about 30 miles away from my village, i live and work in my village and am sick of it, i do like my job but its not enough to move on and progress plus i have a degree so want a career that reflects the hard work i put inot gaining it…..do i search for a house to rent first then a job?? or get the job first?? either way i don't want rent with no income but i aslo don't want to travel to my new job…..anyone else done this…what is the best way??

Answer:
Get a steady job first. Then go for the house. You don't want to get stuck with a payment that you can't make.

Answer:
Since you appear to have a place at present, find the job then a place close by.

Answer:
that's a tough one. I commend you for getting your degree and wanting to do something with it. see if you can find temporary housing so you can move to to the city and find a job, but with no penalty if you decide to leave in a month or two. don't get into a long term lease before you have a job to pay for it. once you have a good job, then look for a permanent place to live.

Answer:
find a cheap safe flat/apartment u can rent month to month - higher cost. AFTER u have job for 3 months.

never ever buy/rent a house before u have the money saved or one year in job you 'love' else u'll have a nightmare.

Answer:
I suggest getting the job first but while your in your job search go look at apartment around the area as well so as soon as you get accepted you can hurry and secure a apartment really quick. The reason i rather have you do that first is when you sign a apartment lease its generally for long term whether its 6 months or a year. Unless you find a place that might offer very short term leases which i doubt there are then you are better off finding the job first and then the apartment.
