Jul

I was approached July 4th, in the evening, by a publisher who took an interest in my work. I followed up about an hour later with an e-mail initiating conversation.

It is now Wednesday July 9th and I haven't heard back from the publisher.

Is there an appropriate length of time where, after, I have the ability to e-mail her again with an inquiry as to how we move forward? Or should I continue waiting for her to send me something as I'm probably on the bottom of her to-do list?

Answer:
I'd send one more e-mail. In it I'd state something like: “I'd really like to talk to you about my work. When would be a convenient time for me to call you”.

After all, you really don't have anything to lose by following up with her.

Good Luck!
