How do you figure out who put a judgement on you? I pulled my credit report and I have 3 judgements on there and have no idea who or what they are. How do I figure this out? Please let me know. Thank you for any help.
Answer:
You can contact the court and send a dispute letter to the credit bureaus that are reporting the item and state you are not aware of these judgements and you need them to verify the accounts and give you information so you can contact the creditors yourself. It will take up to 30 days for the credit bureaus to respond.
Answer:
Are you saying that you are completely unaware of defaulting on any debts? Come on, now…
Answer:
You have to contact the court and they will issue you the copies of the judgements and it will list the creditors and dates. You should contact the creditors and make a delete-to-pay deal so that these derogatory info be removed from your credit report.
Answer:
Go to the court and get copies of the judgments. If you never received summons for the court, you will need to hire a lawyer to get the judgments set aside. The cases will then be rescheduled and you will have to prove the debts are not yours.
You cannot negotiate pay for delete for judgments as these are public records items and will stay on your credit report for 10 years.
