If I were to select the free trial and canceled, will they penalize me? How much does all this cost in the end?
Current Status: Received one credit report free over a year ago.
Answer:
Your best bet is to visit: annualcreditreport.com This is the ONLY site that is directly supported by the three credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, Transunion) and was created by the “Fair Credit Reporting Act” several years ago to provide free credit reports (once a year) from each of the three credit agencies. Although your credit score isn’t included in the report (or the Fair Credit Reporting Act) you’re given the option to purchase your score directly from the agencies for a slight fee…it is the cheapest way to get your score.
Answer:
By Federal Law, all three major credit reporting agencies require that they send you a free copy of your credit report once a year if you request it.
You can sign up for a paid service, but why would you if you can get it for free? Those services are for people who aren't aware that the information they’re paying for is free, or for people who don't take the time to watch their credit reports.

you don't have to sign up for anything or pay anything. that's how i did it. it will give you the option to get some type of plan for each, but you can just turn it down. I just did this this day infact.
Answer:
the least expensive way is to go thru the actual credit agencies. Experian, Equifax and the other one (trans union…can't remember)
