i'm nearly a junior in college
i have never owned a credit card
i've had a debit card for probably 4 years or more
i've stayed with the same bank, never owed anyone anything, and payed cash for everything or my parents obviously for the car
i need to get a credit score
what do you recommend?
a student card?
a personal card- low interest card?
a personal card- rewards card?
a personal card- cash back card?
a personal card- prepaid credit/debit card?
and why?
Answer:
Get a student card for sure. Because they’re very easy to get (no credit history or income requirements). I suggest the Citi mtvU card because it will give you points for good grades and all of you buys. The interest rate is pretty good compared to other student cards.
