Answer: OTC
There are stocks that the prices aren't listed, and you’ve to search or call in for a quote. Those are considered Pink Sheet stocks.
Or so I remember.

I have a sharebuilder account too.
Not through real trades, it has to be whole numbers only. Ex. 100, 1000. You can sell partial shares only, though.
However I know that you can buy partial shares through an automatic investment plan. Ex. Put in $300 of Google (GOOG) and you get less than one share.
