How does the selling process on ebay work?

I'm selling something on ebay and I don't know exactly how things work. Do I get the buyer's address after they win my item?
How do I know that the buyer won't just take the item and not pay me?
When do I send the item?
When does the buyer send the money?

I'm really confused please help. Detailed answers please.

1) Yes, after the buyer wins, you will be able to see their address.
2) Because they pay you before you send them the item. Plus if you're using paypal, there’s other security in place.
3) You send the item once you have recieved the payment and it has cleared.
4) The buyer can send the money as soon as they win the auction if they wish. Otherwise they might do it a few hours later or perhaps the next day.. It will depend by what method they pay. If they pay by cheque then obviously they'll have to send it to your and you'll have to get it and then wait for it to clear.. That's why most people use paypal which will clear a payment pretty much instantly!
