My first thought was either sales or financial statement, but since it is regarding information being electronically exchanged I think it might be vendor? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Answer:
EDI means electronic data interface. This is how most retailers share data with vendors, specifically purchase orders, ASNs, and cost changes. EDI is a great tool for eliminating human error.
EDI capability is definitely important when deciding to do business with a supplier. In fact, some retailers will not buy from vendors who are not EDI-capable.
