Well as a finance man myself, i cant believe i am going to say this but i hope people dont save it, we need people to spend it, it is need to get this “ball” the economy rolling, if people save it, it will back fire becuase then the gov wasted all that money and we will be in the same prediciment if not worse. everyone should do a little research and see how spending could help get us out of this slump!, what will you do?

Answer:
i am with you on this one. i will use it as intended. i am gonna buy me something purdy. after all these months of paying high gas, utility, rents, mortgages, food etc. it will be a fun day for my family to go splurge. i promise to do my part to help out with this slump.

Answer:
No, SAVE IT.

Not for the conventional reasons. I'm an Aussie, and we're experiencing very high inflation and rising interest rates.

When the US drops interest rates, it stimulates OUR economy. So I’ve to pay 8.88% on my mortgage. Not happy, Jan. So far we've had four interest rate rises in twelve months. Ouch.

So if the US economy starts to slow a bit more, the Australian economy might get some relief.

So please spend your rebates.

Best wishes

Answer:
But we've been coming out of this slump since the beginning of March. The sub-prime lending fiasco and the price of oil have injured, but the economy is superior than the election year rhetoric would have us believe.

My REIT investments are up over 12% YTD, and stocks are up 5.75% this quarter.

The smart money would go to paying off any debt, then into savings of some sort. A fool and his money are soon parted.

Answer:
God I cant wait to get mine, its already spent! I want to know how the gov't is deciding who gets it when, etc. I live in Los Angeles, & make good money but the cost of living is so high I can barely make ends meet. I would love to move to another say but cant manage to save any money. When is my rebate coming?!?!?!?

Answer:
I am going to save mine until this summer and then I am going to take a trip– domestically so that the money goes back to the US economy.

I also need to buy new tires for my Jeep.

Answer:
fill up my automobile a few times

boom its spent

Answer:

Answer:
Funny how after 911, Bush told everyone to go out and shop. I see this as the same thing. Shopping seems to be part of the problem….

It's hard to find things made in America…who's economy are we helping by shopping??
