I don't know the difference between any. What I do know is that my credit is jacked up, mainly with medical bills, and a repo from 2000 (that I thought should have been removed by now). I can't even get a department store credit card, have NEVER HAD any credit cards or loans, so I don't understand why I'm always denied when I know folks with much worst stuff, yet they get approved for everything. HELP!
Answer:
First advice is to do everything possible NOT to declare bankruptcy. It can take 7-10 years to recover from it.
If you must do it, consult a lawyer. The laws vary from state to say.
Chapter 13 is usually the one that individuals use. You can get some general info at this website but you’ll still need a local lawyer:

Answer:
You have no reason to file bankruptcy. The money that you would pay a lawyer, you should put into a SECURED CREDIT CARD, you deposit $500.00 into the account and you can use the card, this in turn will give you a trade line. After about a year, ( of ON TIME payments), you can start to apply for SMALL credit cards. All you need is a credit HISTORY not A BANKRUPTCY
Answer:
File a Chapter 7. your husband wont be affected unless you’ve loans together.
