First of all I am going to buy a magicjack–advertised on tv that’ll only cost 20 bux a year and you just plug it into your computer for phone service. thats a lot of money to be saved…what else can we do?

Answer:
Budget your money.

My wife has what she call her”envelope” system. After we have worked out a budget.

What’s not needed we invest.

The budget money she gets, she puts into different envelopes, eg. Meat, vegetables haicuts, groceriec etc. And she sticks to it! Usually at the end of the month, she has some cash left. this she puts into a savings account until she has enough money to purchase a few shares or investment bond.

However this takesdiscipline to do!

Richard

Answer:
Eliminate cable, cut coupons and go out to eat less. Also stop using credit cards. People spend more with credit cards because they don't see the cash automatically dwindle. It is psychological but it is true.

If you have a cell phone and a home phone, get rid of the home phone and make sure you don't go over you minuets on your cell plan. That can really eat your money.

Most importantly force yourself to save money. Think of it as a bill to yourself. 5, 10, 15% of your take home should be placed into some kind of savings vehicle. Savings account, money market, mutual fund etc….

Answer:
I wouldn’t waste your money on that yet.

Do you’ve a monthly budget? You’ve to prioritize your spending. If you’ve cellphone and telephone get rid of one. If you have cable - cancel it. Plan your meals and only get those grocery items necessary for meals. The key is not to overspend.

Good luck.
