my husband received summary judgment from employment development ..he really wants to pay but child support is garnishing wages never the less he has been giving at least 25.00per month this day he received a notification of judgment filed ..what happens now…could we still negotiate a payment arrangement???we really can't afford another garnishment….i think they they did this cause they want a higher payment!!!help….any body with feedback!!!!!!! the balance he owes is $1,435

Depending on your state laws after his child support they might not get much. In this state the garnishment for other than child support can only be 25% of available pay so if his child support were 50% there may not be anything for them to get.

This usually happens when a person ignores correspondence from the bureau. Communication is so important!

He should contact them immediately and see if he has the ability to work something out.
