I just switched banks about a week ago to Bank of America. I used to have a local credit union. When I deposit a check it doesn't clear until midnight and with my credit union is would just go in right then and there. So my question is I have a bill to pay on the 28th. I get paid this day and by the time I get out of work the bank is close so the earliest I have the ability to get to the bank is friday morning. Then the check wont clear until midnight. The next day is the 28th will I be considered late paying this bill or should I be ok? Thanks!

Answer:
In my experience I’ve found with ALL creditors that as long as your payment is posted as pending to thier account BY the due or ON the due date, you’ll not be considered late. And many also given a 1-2 day grace period due to slow USPS mail. You’ll be fine. Good Luck.

Answer:
As long as you paid before the due day, you should be okay. Usually, they’ll give you 1-2 days unless it's a credit card bill. I always pay on the due day, but I pay first thing in the morning.

Answer:
Go to the night drop at your bank when you get off work.
Sign the check and write underneath your signature,
“For Deposit Only” with your accounts name or number
