I don't know what to put in my fliers. I'd like to start babysitting in my neighborhood. How many of you actually got clients from passing fliers in your neighborhood mailboxes?

What do i need to put on my fliers. I know that i should put my phone number, age, that I've had experience with kids.

Any ideas, suggestions, or samples?

Thank you very much.

Answer:
I have never hired someone that I didnt personally know to babysit.

Are you first aid and CPR certified? If so, put that on the flyer, if not consider doing that. Your local parks department may offer that class. Its pretty easy.

Do you have set rates?

Do you babysit on weekends only?

What age kids are you experienced with, and willing to watch?

Can you offer a new client any references, like other people you have babysat for?

Maybe even a picture of you and some kids you babysit, pictures make it more personnal even if they are just black and white.

Possibly offer coming over to help with the kids while mom or dad are presant for new clients so that they and their kids can get to know you a bit, and feel better about leaving their kids with you. Since they dont know who you are.

Good luck

Answer:
The best way to get sitting jobs in your area would be to go to http://www.sittercity.com its a great place where you can find parents and you can post a profile up on yourself so parents can look at you. Flyers are a good idea but usually other random people might call you

Answer:
Do not put your name, age, gender, or address.

This is because there are so many weirdos out there today.

Try:

"Reliable experienced baby-sitter available."

Post them in the area you would like to serve.

Just give your parents' home phone number for contact.

Parents should always check out who you're working for.

You could mention hourly rates if these are already decided.

You might negotiate different rates by age & number.
