I am waiting on my ex's. he has past due child support(15,000) and not remarried. I think he filed at the very last minute so he missed the first round.

Answer:
last wk i got my son's father tax intercept (that was actually his TAX REFUND) i called ask the child support agency……how long before they could get the money that the IRS intercept from his taxes….they stated it could take atleast 6-8wks before the irs forward the money to the child support bureau and send the money to u…….and it also the same for their TAX REBATE……so i guess this time i have to wait for his tax “REBATE”.

i'm from CA.

Answer:
It could take six months for the money to flow from the Feds to the state and into your hands… Hopefully it will only take six weeks.

If he filed April 15 then his return should have been processed by now, and the stimulus check should be calculated by the end of July and then the money will be sent back into the system - don't be surprised if the money does not get to you until mid-September. If it comes before then, rejoice. But don't hold your breath waiting for it as it could take until November to get it…

It all depends on if the IRS had problems with his return, and how effective the Child Support System is in your say.

Answer:
Yikes…he'd superior start paying SOME sort of backpay before he ends up in jail, and you don't get anything. I know things vary from state to say, but here in VA, you can get help from the government if there is an absent parent. It is a program called TANF. I hope you get your money soon!

Answer:
The ones that missed the first round have started going out and will continue through August. But it will very possibly take longer for you to actually get the offset amount.
