I e-filed on 1/25/2008. IRS webside says that I'll receive my direct deposit by 2/12/2008. I mailed the amended return today. I will actually received a little more on my tax refund. Will it take 8 to 12 weeks to process the amended return? Thank you.

Double check your figures. If you received a 1099-INT showing that you had additional income, then your taxes should have gone up, not down. Your refund should have been reduced, not increased.

I would have waited for the refund to come in the mail. If you are lucky you will get your refund on 2/12, and then you will get the add'l amount in 8 weeks. BTW, you have now made yourself an audit target.
