import duty varies from one classification of goods to another, so no idea on the duty at the mo. ring 0172366077 (customs tariff classification line), they'll classify what you want to import, then ask them to confirm the duty rate. vat goes on top, so:
cost of goods (inc shipping) duty, then vat at 17.5% on top of the whole lot.
the EU also has a trade agreement with china, so the duty may be reduced. once you've had the goods classified, ring the customs import national advice service on 0845 010 9000, they can tell you a bit more about how it works and any procedures you'll have to follow. or email me, either one. good luck with your business!!
