I have about $1,000 dollars in medical bills that my insurance didn't cover in 2007. Can these be deducted? And if so, is it worth it?

Answer:
They can be deducted only if you paid them. If you have not paid them you can not deduct them.

Answer:
If you have other deductions to claim such as interest on a home, work expenses, etc. You can file the long form 1040. Unless you have significant amounts that you can deduct, you will probably end up taking the standard deductions anyway.

Answer:
yes you can claim on the medical ,and yes it is worth is you will get maybe 700 dollars back .so doitnow.
